The 2011 Yu-Gi-Oh! US Championship follows the 2011 Yu-Gi-Oh! US Qualifier. Before a duelists can compete in the 2011 Yu-Gi-Oh! US Championship, they must first register for the Qualifier and meet the registration criteria. Once registered, it's time to compete for a chance to be the 2011 Yu-Gi-Oh! US Champion.

About the 2011 Yu-Gi-Oh! US Championship

In order to compete in the in the 2011 Yu-Gi-Oh! US Championship, competitors must be one of the final 128 duelists at the conclusion of the 2011 Yu-Gi-Oh! US Championship Quiz. The 2011 Yu-Gi-Oh! US Championship consists of two main components. The 2011 Yu-Gi-Oh! US Championship Qualifer Quiz and 2011 Yu-Gi-Oh! US Championship online tournament. The rounds from 128 through 8 are held online. The final 4 duelists are eligible to travel to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Friday July 15, 2011 through Sunday July 17, 2011 at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center for the live semi-finals and finals. For more information on eligibility for travel and prizing, please visit the head-to-head summary page.

About the 2011 Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship

The 2011 Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championships are being held this summer overseas, location still pending. The US Champion and the runner-up travel to the 2011 Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championships. The World Championship location was to be Tokyo, Japan. However, due to recent events in Japan, the location is being the Netherlands and will be held in the Netherlands. The dates for the World Championships are also still pending, check back soon for updates. At the World Championships, the US Champion and Runner-Up will compete against the best duelists from around the world including Asia, Europe and more. Just like the US Championship, duelists competing in the 2011 Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championships will play head-to-head using a Nintendo DS™.

About the 2011 Yu-Gi-Oh! US Championship Head-To-Head Play

During the 2011 Yu-Gi-Oh! US Qualifier and the 2011 Yu-Gi-Oh! US Championship, all online head-to-head play is conducted within the designated "Play Window" (The Play Window is the agreed to time frame when tournament duels take place). The higher seeded duelist selects the play window. The lower seed must accept the Play Windows or be disqualified.

The two duelists must be ready to play at the selected Play Window with their copy of the Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship 2011 game loaded into their Nintendo DS™ and be connected to the Internet on their Nintendo DS™. Failure to be ready to play at the appointed time will result in immediate disqualification.
